Privacy notice, updated 13 September 2026

Who to contact

CSVReady is provided by Adam Dawson trading as DawsonyWeb. Business correspondence address: DawsonyWeb, Ground Floor, Radley House, Richardshaw Road, Leeds, LS28 6LE, United Kingdom. Contact info@dawsony.com with privacy questions or requests. This notice describes the hosted converter and account service. Read the data-handling walkthrough. Account and billing information are handled separately from temporary bank statements, as described below.

What happens to an upload

Your CSV passes through PHP and Livewire’s private temporary upload area. It is then parsed as a stream and saved as encrypted records on the application server. The original upload staging file is removed after processing. Abandoned Livewire uploads are cleaned up after an hour by the scheduler.

24-hour access, followed by deletion

The raw parsed rows, conversion output, filename and conversion settings are encrypted. Download access expires 24 hours after upload. The cleanup task runs every minute and removes expired files and conversion records, normally within one minute of expiry. On the hosted service, temporary files and the separate conversion database are stored outside Cloudways’ application backup folders. The durable billing database does not store conversion records. This is temporary retention, not zero retention.

Use “Delete my file” in the preview to delete it earlier. Files you download to your own computer remain under your control. We do not send transaction data to AI services or analytics providers.

Contact and bug reports

The contact form sends your name, email address, enquiry category and message to DawsonyWeb by email through ThisWebHost. We use these details to respond and investigate reported problems. Support emails are retained in our mailbox until manually deleted, separately from the 24-hour statement deletion policy. Do not include bank statements or payment credentials. Google Analytics does not run on the contact page.

Accounts and payments are separate

Pro accounts store your name, email, password hash and subscription identifiers. Stripe handles payment information. Account and billing records are not covered by the 24-hour statement deletion policy. Only a conversion identifier is sent in single-file payment metadata; your statement contents and original filename are not sent to Stripe.

Your browser session controls access

Guest downloads require the browser session that uploaded the file. Knowing a conversion URL is not enough to open it. A signed-in uploader can access their own conversion while it remains valid. Clearing cookies or signing out can end guest access.

Optional Google Analytics

With your permission, Google Analytics records visits to public marketing and guide pages, browser/device information and approximate location. It does not run on account, payment, conversion-result or date-checker pages. We send clean page addresses without query strings and only the referring site’s origin, never its path or query, not filenames, statement contents or account details. Advertising features and automatic form/download tracking are disabled. Google may process analytics information outside the UK under its applicable data protection terms. You can reject analytics or withdraw consent through Cookie settings. Read Google’s privacy policy.

Session information and security

The application stores a session identifier, access token, IP address and browser information to maintain your session and protect access to files. Server and application logs may contain request details and errors. Transaction contents are not intentionally sent to analytics or AI services. Read our cookie information for the cookies used by this app.

Why information is used

DawsonyWeb is the controller for account, support, security and billing information. We use account and purchase information to perform our contract with you, tax and accounting records to meet legal obligations, and limited security and support records for our legitimate interests in protecting and operating the service and resolving complaints. Optional analytics relies on your consent. Where you upload client statements on behalf of a business, we process their contents on your documented instructions to perform the requested conversion; you remain responsible for the lawful basis and authority to provide those instructions. Read the business data processing terms.

Who receives information

Stripe receives the information needed for checkout, subscription management and fraud prevention. It processes payment data under its own privacy policy. The hosted preview runs on Cloudways on a DigitalOcean server in London. Transactional email is delivered by ThisWebHost through the dedicated csvready@dawsony.com sender. The London server location does not mean every provider operation takes place in the UK. Stripe, Google and hosting providers may use international infrastructure or support. Their applicable data-processing terms explain the transfer safeguards, including adequacy arrangements and contractual safeguards where required. Contact us for details relevant to your use. We do not send statement contents to Google Analytics or to Stripe.

Account records and your rights

Account information is kept while the account is open. You can request closure by email; we aim to remove information no longer needed within 30 days after closure. We retain the minimum purchase, contract, tax and dispute records for up to seven years after purchase, or longer where a specific legal hold applies. Purchase confirmations store the accepted terms and payment reference, with encrypted recipient details, and contain no statement filenames or transaction contents. Unpaid checkout confirmation records are automatically removed after 30 days. Support correspondence is reviewed for deletion two years after a matter closes unless needed for an ongoing complaint or legal obligation. These account and support reviews are manual. Application logs rotate after 14 days; hosting providers manage their own infrastructure logs and backup retention separately.

Depending on the information and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, or object to certain processing. Contact info@dawsony.com to make a request. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations. You may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Service availability

Free previews, five-row sample downloads and validation reports are available. For client statements, check that the current processing terms meet your requirements before uploading. Full-file downloads are available without payment only when the application runs in local mode with that option enabled. HTTPS, the Stripe connection, transactional email and scheduled cleanup are configured. New paid checkout opens only after the launch checks are complete.
